USWNT holds plenty of confidence ahead of the 2023 women's World Cup

We are a little over a week away from the start of the 2023 Women's World Cup and people across the globe can't wait to see what the USA will be able to get done. Is a three-peat on the way for this squad?

That's what the red, white and blue supporters are hoping for. Come July 21, the USWNT will kick things off with a showdown against Vietnam, a match they're heavily favored to come out on top of.

They'll enter that match after posting a 2-0 win over Wales in a friendly on Sunday. In that victory, Trinity Rodman put on a show.

Rodman may only be 21 years old, but she's been playing beyond her years. With her performance against Wales, plenty of people are calling for her to see significant playing time at the World Cup. 

With her fantastic finishing abilities, there's no question that she should see plenty of action not only vs. Vietnam, but in the rest of the tournament too. She has earned the right to play more minutes. 

Elsewhere, the USA as a whole holds the No. 1 odds to win the World Cup. England and Germany figure to make plenty of noise as well, but the CONCACAF side indeed is favored to come out on top. 

If they do win it all, it would mark three consecutive World Cup titles for the Americans. That's crazy to even think about. With this team being so loaded with talent, it wouldn't be a surprise at all to see it happen. 

Once the World Cup begins, look for Rodman, Alex Morgan, Sophia Smith, Lindsay Horan and others to look fantastic against the opposition. The expectations are high for this team and fans think they'll be ready to deliver a string of epic performances.
