Barcelona is eyeing a move to land Man City's Raheem Sterling

Raheem Sterling to Barcelona transfer rumors heating up

It's that time of year where we're seeing loads of rumors fly around leading up to the summer transfer window. Some huge names could be on the move, of course including Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, Marcus Rashford and more.

Well, could Manchester City star striker Raheem Sterling be on the way out of the English Premier League? That could happen. According to insider Graeme Bailey, Sterling is eyeing a move to La Liga to play for Barcelona. This would really be a big call for him.

Per Bailey's sources, Sterling indeed is intrigued about playing at the Camp Nou for Barcelona and new manager Xavi. What's important to remember here too is that MCFC just agreed to the monster transfer of forward Erling Haaland. With Sterling wanting a huge wage, they may not want to pay him so much since Haaland is now in town.

Sterling is out of contract with Manchester City in June of 2023. While there had been hopes that the two sides would be able to finalize an extension, that hasn't been completed.

The door feels like it's open for Sterling to leave sooner than later. For Man City, they could very well end up selling Sterling to Barcelona this summer to try and get some money back for him instead of letting him just sign as a free agent next year.

It's been another season to remember for Man City, as they're on the verge of winning the EPL title for the fourth time in the past five years. For Sterling, though, his time with the club could be coming to a close soon. This will no question be something to monitor for both Man City and Barcelona fans.
