PSG makes things official and signs Mauro Icardi on permanent deal

Argentine striker Mauro Icardi isn't going anywhere, PSG fans.
On loan this season from Inter Milan, Icardi was all set to return to his former club at the conclusion of the 2019-20 campaign. However, that's not going to happen.
On Sunday, PSG announced they've signed Icardi from Milan on a permanent four-year deal. Yup, he'll be with the Parisian giants until at least 2024.

Of course, this is welcome news for the Ligue 1 powerhouse. Icardi, who helped PSG win its third consecutive league title this season, surely impressed in his first campaign at the Parc des Princes.
Per ESPN sources, PSG and Inter Milan agreed to a deal worth around 50 million euros, a number that was surely lowered due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the two sides were able to work their magic and come to an agreement.
This past season with PSG, Icardi made 31 appearances and scored 20 goals. After making such an impact, the front office wanted to make sure he'd back for sure next season. Mission accomplished.
