N'Golo Kante has a remarkable life story.

N’Golo Kante’s remarkable life story is something every Chelsea fan can appreciate

If you want to talk about one of the most humble footballers out there, one of the first names that needs be brought up is no question Chelsea winger N'Golo Kante.

Kante has been with the club since 2016, winning an English Premier League title with the Blues during his first year. For Chelsea FC, he's known for his brilliant pace, but his ability to blast the ball past a diving keeper from time to time has also been amazing to see.

As of this writing, the French midfielder has appeared in well over 150 games for the club. He's a fan favorite because of his blue-collar mentality, which was instilled in him at a young age. And once you understand his upbringing, it's so much easier to have an incredible amount of respect for Kante and his work for Chelsea

Rough childhood for N'Golo Kante has made him who he is today

Kante was born in Paris after his parents migrated there from Mali. The family lived in a very tiny apartment outside of the city, where Kante would actually go out with his father to pick up rubbish, walking for miles a day to try and find some worthy waste. That kind of work ethic hasn't left him.

Due to his family's rough circumstances, Kante has always been incredibly humble, while at the same time being grateful for everything that his come way. Unfortunately, his father passed away when he was 11, while his brother Niama died after having a heart attack before the 2018 World Cup

While he was devastated, Kante somehow found a way to keep pushing forward despite the tragedies in his life. This included winning the English Premier League title with Leicester City in 2016, and then winning the league with Chelsea during his first season in 2017.

He was also a key member of France's World Cup winning team in '18. So in the span of three years, he won two English Premier League titles and a World Cup, which is simply astonishing. Remember, this happened for a man who came from such humble beginnings.

Kante didn't join his first professional club until he was 19. When he first joined Leicester, he'd get to practice either by a push scooter, or by running. He reportedly had to be told not to run to training by teammates and the coaching staff. He ended up buying himself a Mini Cooper, which of course was quite the upgrade.

Through it all, Kante has kept a smile on his face and been an unbelievable footballer. He's an easy guy to root for, no doubt.
