Manchester City vs. Manchester United has massive title implications

The Manchester Derby will take place on Sunday and it's going to be an epic battle. While the 2021-22 season has gone a bit different for Manchester City and Manchester United, anything can happen when these two teams meet.

While City beat United 2-0 earlier this season, don't forget that the Red Devils stunned their rivals at the Etihad Stadium last year. With the title race back on, the pressure will definitely be on City in this one.

When you take a look at the English Premier League table, City is at the top with 66 points. However, they have a game in hand over Liverpool. LFC is second in the standings with their 60 points.

Just a month ago, everyone was ready to crown MCFC as the champions, but things sure have changed. Now, Liverpool FC very well could end up passing them by the time May rolls around.

That's why this matchup against Manchester United is so important for Pep Guardiola. City is going to be heavy favorites in all of its games, but the matches against the Top 6 teams are of major importance.

If something happens and City drops points on Sunday, it's going to open another door for Liverpool to gain more confidence in winning the title. City can't afford to slip up this weekend.

Having said that, Manchester United is in a battle for the Top 4 and this game is massive for them as well. There's just so much on the line for both of these clubs. We can't wait to see how this one plays out.
