Liverpool made history in its win over Manchester United.

Liverpool makes history with incredible 7-0 win over Manchester United

Holy smokes, who in the heck saw this coming? On Sunday at Anfield, Liverpool FC and Manchester United faced off in what a lot of people figured would be a back-and-forth battle. Instead, it was a one-sided affair.

Indeed, Liverpool put on a show, hitting United for SEVEN goals. That's right, seven. Believe it or not, the score was 1-0 at halftime, with Cody Gakpo putting the home side in front right before the teams went to the locker room. Then, LFC could not be stopped in the second half.

Liverpool gave MUFC its worst loss in EPL history

This had to be awful to see for the United supporters out there. Many MUFC fans thought the Red Devils had a shot at posting an upset win, but they never had a chance in this one. Gakpo indeed got the party started late in the first half.

Then, Darwin Nunez scored in the 47th minute, before Gakpo added his second goal of the game to make things 3-0. Before you knew it, the score was 4-0, then 5-0, then 6-0, and then Roberto Firmino put the cherry on top with his late goal to close the scoring at 7-0.

Props to Mo Salah for his two goals as well, which now has No. 1 all-time for LFC for EPL goals.

This was the worst English Premier League loss for Manchester United, and you know things were only made worse for them because it came against Liverpool. As for LFC, they were loving every minute of the big-time win, and the crowd was having a party in the stands too.

There had been a lot of negative talk surrounding the club because of their inconsistent play this year, but a win like that over Manchester United is more than enough to get people believing once again.

The race for the Top 4 is tight, but Liverpool has what it takes to get back in there. This team is riding high right now and understandably so.
