This isn't a surprise at all. It's that time of the year where the team over at Pro Football Focus drops its power rankings by position, and there's always going to be plenty of eyes at quarterback.

So, who came in at the top of their list? Of course it had to be Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes, who just won his second Super Bowl this past winter. Now, Mahomes is ready to try and go back-to-back with KC in '23. Will he be able to get things done?

Mahomes not only won the Super Bowl last year, but he also took home NFL MVP honors. There was no question that Mahomes deserved the award, as he was nothing short of brilliant in '22. He also prevented Aaron Rodgers from winning MVP for the third consecutive season.
"Mahomes is the standard by which all NFL quarterbacks are now measured," PFF wrote on Mahomes. "With (Peyton) Manning and (Tom) Brady now names of the past, Mahomes is the new benchmark pushing the boundaries of what we have seen previously.
"Since coming into the league, he has 191 big-time throws including the postseason, the most in the NFL. He has also passed for 8.1 yards per attempt, a figure only quarterbacks playing for Kyle Shanahan have surpassed over the same span."
No one can argue that Mahomes is already one of the best QBs of his generation. With two Super Bowl rings to his name, he's got a long way to go to match Brady's seven, but at just 27 years old, this kid still has plenty of amazing football ahead of him.
This season could be another one to remember for the talented playmaker - we can't wait to see what he gets done this fall and winter.
