Hold the phone on the thought that Brazilian winger Willian had played his final game for Chelsea, folks. While rumors have been floating out there for weeks the veteran Blues player was on the verge of leaving the club, new reports out of London are saying otherwise.
Per multiple outlets, Willian and Chelsea had a breakthrough on Monday morning and the two sides are close to making a new deal happen. Will we be seeing Willian back at Stamford Bridge next season? Things are looking that way.

Willian, who will turn 32 in early August, is officially a free agent and reports last week stated Arsenal was keen on stealing him from Chelsea and keeping him in London at the same time.
Obviously, this is the last thing Chelsea would have wanted to see. At the same time, Willian has been seeking a three-year deal, while Chelsea had previously only been willing to give him a two-year deal.
Now, though, it's looking like the two sides have been able to meet halfway and all that's left at this point is for Willian to put the pen to paper for a new contract with the club. Willian has been with Chelsea since 2013 and has made more than 230 appearances and scored 37 goals.
Come this fall, it looks like he's only going to see those numbers with the Blues grow. This is exciting news for Chelsea fans who were hoping Willian would return next season.
