In the race for the Top 4, Chelsea's hopes of playing Champions League football next season got a huge boost on Tuesday. In a tough showdown on the road against Crystal Palace, the Blues came out on top with an impressive 3-2 win.

Even more importantly, Leicester City dropped points in its 1-1 draw against Arsenal. Those two results now has Chelsea in third place of the Premier League table.

As things stand, Chelsea is in third place with 60 points, while Leicester City holds the No. 4 spot with 59 points. Don't forget about Manchester United too. The Reds are in fifth with 55 points, but won't play their next match until Thursday against Aston Villa.

Should United come out victorius, they'll be just one point behind Leicester City and two points behind Chelsea. Those three teams figure to be the ones to compete for the final two CL spots, though Wolves isn't too far behind in sixth place either.

Regardless, Chelsea's huge win has them in third, and with plenty of confidence thanks to their strong run. In Tuesday's win, with the score 1-0 in favor of the Blues, Christian Pulisic had the shot of the match with a left-footed strike to make things 2-0. After Crystal Palace scored to cut its deficit to 2-1, Tammy Abraham scored in the second half to put Chelsea up 3-1.

Palace found the back of the net once again, but didn't have enough magic left to end things in dramatic fashion, and saw Chelsea leave the pitch with three points. Next up for Frank Lampard's men is a showdown against Sheffield United on Saturday.
