This really was a match that provided non-stop entertainment. Manchester City got things started with a goal from Raheem Sterling in the 44th minute, taking a 1-0 advantage into the locker rooms for halftime.
In the second half, though, Chelsea kept applying pressure and you felt like the equalizer was bound to come. It indeed did in the 63rd minute thanks to a fantastic finish from Hakim Ziyech.
The two sides tried finding the go-ahead goal the rest of the way, but no one was able to get it done. However, Marcos Alonso answered the prayers from CFC fans in the 92nd minute, putting a shot past a diving Ederson to give the London club a thrilling victory.
To beat Man City is one thing, but to do it on the road and in stoppage time is nothing short of sensational for Chelsea. And again, with the Champions League Final coming later this month, it will surely give them confidence.
Chelsea also beat Man City in the FA Cup. They've proven more than once they can take down their mighty rivals. Let's see if they'll be able to do it once again in Istanbul with the Champions League glory on the line.
