With their backs against the wall, Chelsea is all set to try and pull off a massive upset against Manchester City in the Champions League Final this weekend. All eyes will be on the two clubs at the Estadio do Dragao in Portugal.
On paper, Manchester City is the better team, especially after winning its third English Premier League title in the past four years. However, the Blues don't care about that and will be hungry to prove their doubters wrong. Here's why they might be able to make that happen.
'They are the benchmark but we are the guys who want to close the gap.' 💪#UCLFinal

Chelsea has what it takes to stun Manchester City in the Champions League Final
Don't forget for a second that Chelsea FC has beaten MCFC twice already this campaign: once in the FA Cup and then again earlier this month in a Premier League showdown.
That last contest came on May 8, with Marcos Alonso scoring the game-winning goal in stoppage time. It was not only a thrilling victory, but it also gave Chelsea so much confidence heading into the Champions League Final. That triumph came at the Etihad Stadium too, which was downright stunning.
What it will come down to is whether or not the defense can hold its own against City's unreal attack. Guys like Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling and others will do everything possible to try and frustrate CFC.
With that said, Chelsea also has an incredible amount of riches offensively as well. Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, N'Golo Kante and other studs know what it takes to beat Man City. Will it be easy? Of course not. But with that said, Chelsea FC has already taken City down twice this year and will be amped up to make it happen once again.
In a Final, you never know what might happen. Chelsea has what it takes to shock the world and down Man City. We'll find out on Saturday if Thomas Tuchel's men have what it takes to get that job done, but they surely can do so if things fall into place.
