He's not going anywhere! In what has been a busy summer transfer window for Manchester City, plenty of fans were worried that team great Bernardo Silva would potentially make his way out of town.

However, that's not going to happen. On Wednesday, it was announced by the club that Silva has signed a new contract extension, with him locked in through the 2026 season. It goes without saying, but fans are thrilled with the news.

Bernardo Silva has signed a multi-year extension with Manchester City
Silva is now in his seventh season with City, winning just about every trophy out there. His career was no question highlighted by the brilliant treble run from the Premier League giants last campaign, with City winning the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League.
“Six years where we won five Premier Leagues, one Champions League and all the cups," Silva said via the Man City website. "I couldn't have imagined it better, to be honest. I am very happy. It's another season where we will try to do as best as possible. And we started well. Let's keep going that way."
MCFC is already off to an incredible start this season, taking down Burnley to open things and then Newcastle this past weekend too. City has its eyes on winning the Premier League title for the fourth year in a row, which has never happened before.
Silva has been a major part of this team's success in recent years and now he's ready to help the club bring its supporters even more great memories moving forward. There was speculation that he could make a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Ligue 1 supporters were excited at the thought of that happening, but Man City has shut down that speculation once and for all. Look for Silva to keep on making head-turning plays for City and Pep Guardiola moving forward.
