We've just witnessed quite the surprising result in London.
On Wednesday night, league champions Liverpool traveled to the Emirates for a showdown against Arsenal. The Reds took an early lead thanks to a strong finish from Sadio Mane, and dominated play for most of the first half.
However, two defensive mistakes in those first 45 minutes of action opened the door for Arsenal to take a 2-1 lead. That ended up being the final score, with the Gunners stunning Jurgen Klopp and LFC.

Alexandre Lacazette tied things up at 1-1 in the 32nd minute after a brutal mistake by Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk. On that play, van Dijk felt he was fouled and passed the ball back into the box for Lacazette to pounce on it and fire the ball into the back of the net.
The Gunners weren't done there. Right before halftime in the 44th minute, goalie Alisson Becker also had a mental lapse, giving Arsenal the ball just outside of the box. Arsenal's Reiss Nelson got the ball at his boot moments later, and blasted a shot past a diving Becker himself to put the Gunners up 2-1.

In the second half, Liverpool had multiple chances to try and even up the score, but just couldn't get things done. Arsenal was able to withstand heavy pressure, and left the Emirates with an impressive three points over the league champs. It was a special night for Mikel Arteta and his boys.
