Arsenal hoping to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in London despite Real Madrid interest

With Arsenal standout Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang entering the final year of his contract next season, the Frenchman has already been linked to numerous clubs across Europe.
Contract extension talks have not gone swimmingly between the two sides, and now Real Madrid has reportedly joined Barcelona, Manchester United and others who are hoping to buy him this summer. However, Arsenal isn't going to just part ways with the goal-scoring machine. Nope, they want to make sure he stays home in North London.

It goes without saying, but Aubameyang leaving Arsenal would be a major blow for Mikel Arteta and his team. The 30-year-old forward had an unreal season last year, recording 22 goals in league play.
With those 22 strikes, Aubameyang shared The Golden Boot honor with Liverpool's Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. Thus far this campaign, before play was stopped, he had 17 goals to his name in 26 EPL appearances. The man just has a knack for finding the back of the net.
That's exactly why so many clubs are hoping to buy him this summer from Arsenal. However, the Gunners want to do everything in their power to make sure he's donning his No. 14 jersey for them next season and beyond.
Rumors and reports will continue to fly surrounding Aubameyang. For Arsenal fans, you can only hope he's able to agree to a new contract and not go anywhere later this year. He's simply too valuable to this club.
