Alex Morgan has a strong 2023 World Cup on her mind.

Alex Morgan in top scoring form ahead of the 2023 World Cup

It's hard to believe, but we are a little over a month away from the 2023 Women's World Cup arriving. From July 20-Aug. 20, fans from all over the globe are going to be focused on this tournament.

It goes without saying, but millions of eyes are going to be on the U.S. Women's National Team, as the red, white and blue are trying to do the unthinkable: three-peat. In order for that to happen, their star players are going to have to rise to the occasion.

Luckily for the USA, star forward Alex Morgan is in fantastic form leading up to the tournament. Thus far for the San Diego Wave of the NWSL, Morgan has five goals on the season. Whenever she's on the pitch, she's a threat to score:

Morgan is in the hunt to capture the NWSL Golden Boot, an honor she took home last season. Again, whenever Morgan puts on her boots, she's going to provide opposing defenses with plenty of problems.

We saw that at the last World Cup, as Morgan started things off with a bang in the win over Thailand. In that victory, Morgan tied the single-game World Cup record, finding the back of the net five times. It was an unreal performance.

The talented veteran was also a key figure in the '15 World Cup win as well. Morgan is now 33 years old, but she's no question still playing at a brilliant level. More strong play will surely be on the way for her in July and August.

USA supporters are dreaming of this team bringing home the trophy for the third consecutive time. It won't be easy, but vets like Morgan and Megan Rapinoe will surely be ready to do whatever is needed to get the job done.
