The USMNT is headed to the Olympics quarterfinals.

USMNT and USWNT both headed to the Paris Olympics quartefinals

Things are going according to plan for both the U.S. Men's National Team and the U.S. Women's National Team. That's because the two squads are moving on to the next round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

That's right, over the weekend, the USWNT took care of Germany 4-1 to secure its spot in the quarterfinals and the USMNT followed things up with a 3-0 win over Guinea on Tuesday.

This was a game that was dominated by the USA, as Guinea simply had no answers for the red, white and blue. Djordje Mihailovic scored a world-class goal on a free-kick effort to open the scoring and the USA never looked back.

Now, this team will be taking on Morocco in the quarterfinals. This is the first time the U.S. men have reached this stage of the Olympics since 2000 - obviously, things are looking great for the youngsters.

The USWNT has a ton of confidence ahead of the quarterfinals

As for the USWNT, we can't talk enough about how brilliant they looked in the win over Germany. Trinity Rodman has been one of the best players in the Olympics thus far, scoring another goal in the 4-1 win.

What made that victory over Germany so special was that the European side is actually ranked No. 4 in the world per FIFA, while the USA is No. 5. Well, those rankings didn't show much, as Emma Hayes' team controlled play from start to finish.

Now, Rodman, Sophia Smith, Mallory Swanson, Rose Lavelle and others will take on Australia in the final match of group play before getting ready for the quarterfinals. Once group play is wrapped up, we'll find out who the USWNT will be playing next.
