Lindsey Horan scored an incredible goal for the USA
At halftime, the USA was indeed down 1-0 and fans were concerned that they'd suffer a stunning loss. However, Horan was able to get things tied up with a fantastic header.
Horan, a team captain alongside Alex Morgan, showcased incredible skill on this goal. The Netherlands keeper didn't have a chance of keeping this one from hitting the back of the net:

Boom. After that goal from Horan, the red, white and blue put the pressure on their opponents, attacking their side of the field with consistency. It looked like the U.S. took the lead with a goal from Morgan, but she was just offside.
The USA was hoping to find a late winner, but it wasn't meant to be for them. Still, though, we saw just how strong they can be with their attack. With the result, the USA remains at the top of the group.
Next up for Horan, Morgan, Sophia Smith and Co. will be a showdown with Portugal on Tuesday. With a win, the U.S. will not only finish at the top of the group, but they'll also move on to the knockout stages.
With a draw too, depending on goal differential, the U.S. could still finish No. 1 for Group E depending on how things go between Vietnam and the Netherlands. Regardless, the U.S. is in great shape right now. All eyes are now on Tuesday's showdown with Portugal.
