After winning the World Cup in 2019, and also doing so in 2015, the USA has a chance for a three-peat this summer. The oddsmakers like their chances of doing that, as they indeed are the favorites to lift the trophy in August.
Team USA and England hold the top Women's World Cup odds
As things stand, the U.S. holds +300 odds, while England is right behind them at +340. If these two teams were to meet in the Final, it would be a contest for the ages. A lot of soccer fans across the globe are hoping for that to happen, but don't sleep on Germany, Spain or France either.
With Team USA, this squad will once again be loaded with an incredible amount of talent, with the list of course including star goal-scorer Megan Rapinoe. Rapinoe has been sensational this season for the OL Reign of the National Women's Soccer League.
She's going to head to Australia and New Zealand at the top of her game. Alex Morgan, Becky Sauerbrunn, Lindsay Horan, Sophia Smith and others will surely be players to watch as well.
Unfortunately for Mallory Swanson, she won't be able to lace up her boots for the World Cup this summer. Earlier this month, the star forward suffered a patellar tendon tear in a friendly match vs. Ireland.
While she won't be able to play, you already know she'll be cheering on her teammates as they go for the glory. All in all, we can't wait for the World Cup to get here. Will Team USA win it all once again? We can't wait to find out.
