Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to take Tottenham Hotspur as serious contenders to win the English Premier League title. On Saturday night, Tottenham FC earned a monstrous 2-0 victory over fellow English powers Manchester City at Tottenham Stadium.
The players of the night have to be Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso, who were both able to find the back of the net past a diving Ederson. Seriously, both of the finishes were pure class.

Son got the party started in the fifth minute, flying through the middle of the pitch and scoring a beauty with his left foot. Ederson came out to try and stop Son from scoring, but he had no such luck.
Later in the first half, Son also provided a lovely assist for Harry Kane, who was able to score himself. Unfortunately for Tottenham fans, Kane was called for offsides.
As for Man City, they also had a goal taken back in the first 45 minutes of play. Aymeric Laporte scored with a brilliant finish, but Tottenham players cried out for a hand ball inside the area from Gabriel Jesus. Referee Mike Dean received word from the VAR crew that he needed to take a look, and Dean called off the goal soon after.
It was a back-breaker for City, which entered the halftime break down 1-0. In the second half, Jose Mourinho brought on Giovani Lo Celso as a substitute. Less than a minute later, Lo Celso received a brilliant pass from Kane and fired a strike past Ederson, putting Tottenham up 2-0.
With the win, Tottenham is now up to 20 points and in first place of the English Premier League standings, two points ahead of Chelsea and Leicester City.
Next up for Spurs will be a huge showdown at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea FC on Nov. 29. That match could play an enormous role in the title fight later this campaign.
