Both Arsenal and Tottenham fans were treated to quite the match on Sunday, as the two sides faced off in the latest edition of the popular North London Derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
After both teams traded goals in the first half, a slow second half made it seem like things would end in a 1-1 draw. However, defender Toby Alderweireld had other ideas, as his brilliant header in the 81st minute gave Tottenham its thrilling 2-1 victory over the Gunners.
Arsenal got on the score sheet first thanks to a brilliant strike from Alexandre Lacazette, who blasted an absolute screamer into the top left corner in the 16th minute past a diving Hugo Lloris.
Just three minutes later, a defensive blunder by Arsenal opened the door for Tottenham's Heung-Min Son to have an easy shot on goal which he took full advantage of to make things 1-1.
In the second half, both sides had some chances to take the lead, but couldn't get the job done. That all of course changed when Alderweireld delivered a powerful header off a Son cross into the net.
Whenever these two sides meet, it's always going to be an exciting matchup. Such was the case once again on Sunday, with Spurs getting the last laugh and an important three points.
