One fan base is happy, while the other is left disappointed. That's what Timo Werner's latest decision has brought. This week, the German striker revealed he'll be leaving RB Leipzig early to join Chelsea ahead of schedule.

While his move to London has been expected, he's leaving his former club in the middle of the Champions League tournament. The German side qualified for the quarterfinals for the first time in its history after taking down Tottenham in March.

With Werner ready to join Chelsea in July and get a start to his life in the English Premier League, he's made the tough decision to not participate in the CL matches in August.

The coronavirus pandemic put a halt to play for months, but with the action set to resume in England this week, Chelsea fans are excited not only for the rest of this season, but the future with Werner in attack as well.

He's clearly showing his commitment to the club and getting Chelsea back to its elite form with his call to head to Stamford Bridge next month instead of delaying things. While RB Leipzig fans might be disappointed, the same can't be said for Blues supporters everywhere.
