Sergio Aguero has announced his retirement from soccer

Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero retires due to heart condition

Countless soccer/football fans were hoping this news wouldn't have come. Unfortunately, an emotional Sergio Aguero took center stage on Wednesday and announced that he's had to retire from the game he loves so much.

Honor Aguero's legendary career by ordering his Signable today

Aguero was diagnosed with a heart condition earlier this year, forcing him to stop playing to undergo further testing. Well, the tests revealed that he'd be at serious risk if he kept playing, potentially putting his life in danger if he kept suiting up. Because of this, Aguero has had to hang up his cleats.

This really is a sad day for the sport. Aguero just joined Barcelona this past offseason and he was expected to help the La Liga giants get back on track after a rough stretch.

Instead, his career with the team really is over before it even could get started. While he may be with Barcelona now, Aguero will of course be remembered for his sensational career with Manchester City.

The superstar striker will one day have a statue built in his honor, while fans are already calling for a stand to be named after him as well. No one will ever forget his incredible play for City. Remember his game-winning goal against QPR to snatch the title away from Manchester United? Of course you do.

That goal will go down as one of the best in English Premier League history. There was so much drama late in that match, and the scenes of Aguero ripping his shirt off while being surrounded by teammates is out of this world.

In total, Aguero helped Man City win the league title five times. He scored more than 400 goals throughout his career, and also helped Argentina win the Copa America this past summer. He was known for being a great player and an even better teammate. Cheers to a sensational career, Kun.
