PSG 'give up' on Kylian Mbappe re-signing amidst Real Madrid reports
The Kylian Mbappe race is about to come to an end and it feels more certain than ever that he's going to be headed to Real Madrid to play for the La Liga giants. According to ESPN, Paris Saint-Germain has accepted this fact.
On Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Julien Laurens that PSG has indeed given up on trying to ink Mbappe to his mega-extension and that the Ligue 1 side knows a Madrid announcement from Mbappe is coming soon.
As we've written about before, Mbappe has said multiple times that it has been his dream to play for Los Blancos. Despite that, PSG has been working tirelessly to try and get him to stay in town for the long haul.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced stating that Mbappe had agreed to stay with PSG for two more years. However, Mbappe's mom quickly spurned those reports, saying that her son was yet to make his decision.
Now, it's looking like Mbappe will be leaving Paris for Madrid. This has been in the works for a while now, as he's been a wanted man for quite some time by the Real Madrid front office.
With Madrid set to take on Liverpool in the Champions League Final at the end of the month, we could see the Mbappe announcement come around then. This will be world-shaking news, as he's one of the best in the game. After Erling Haaland agreed to join Man City, look for Mbappe to head to Real Madrid.
