It just wasn't meant to be for Paris Saint-Germain in its first ever Champions League Final on Sunday.

On Sunday against Bayern Munich, after an incredible run in the tournament, PSG unfortunately fell 1-0 and watched the German powers lift the trophy and capture its sixth CL championship.

While PSG had plenty of chances to score in both the first half and the second half, luck just wasn't in their favor for this one.

After the two teams entered the halftime break even at 0-0, Bayern Munich took the lead in the 59th minute following a perfectly placed header from Kingsley Coman.

PSG didn't lose hope, though, and kept applying pressure to try and even up the score. Both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar gave it all they had up front. The equalizer never arrived, however.

While fans may be disappointed with the result, the 1-0 loss to Bayern won't take away from the amazing play PSG showcased from start to finish in the 2019-20 Champions League. To make their first final is quite the accomplishment. Look for PSG to get back to this stage many more times down the road.
