There's no better competition in the world of football than the English Premier League. There are sensational players from all over the globe, with veterans really leaving their marks on clubs.
With that being said, there are also some incredible young players in the league who continue to steal the show each weekend. Who are those players?
In this piece, we take a look at the five most promising young talents in the English Premier League.
5. Mason Greenwood for Manchester United
At just 19 years old, Mason Greenwood continues to earn more and more starts for Man United, with the left-footed winger putting on a show each time he hits the pitch. Greenwood can hurt you with either his left boot or right boot, as he's scored several clutch goals for United.
Last season, Greenwood scored 10 goals in 31 league matches for the Old Trafford side. Being so young, his best soccer is of course ahead of him. He's going to be a player to watch for years to come.
4. Trent Alexander-Arnold for Liverpool
Trent Alexander-Arnold just turned 22 years old, and the standout right back couldn't be more loved by the Liverpool fans. A Liverpool native, he's given everything he has thus far for the Reds and has already won a Champions League and EPL title with the club. What makes Alexander-Arnold so special are his crosses and unreal free-kick goals.
Alexander-Arnold scored four goals in the 2019-20 season, playing a huge role in helping LFC break its 30-year drought in winning the title. Being only 22, we can't wait to see what else he'll be able to accomplish with the club.
3. Christian Pulisic for Chelsea
Also at 22 years old, the expectations are through the roof for Christian Pulisic in London for Chelsea FC. Many out there believe he has what it takes to be the best American ever to suit up for a Premier League team. Pulisic has shown flashes of his brilliance early on in his Chelsea FC career.
In 2019-20, his first full season with the team, he scored nine goals in 25 matches. This includes his tremendous performance against Liverpool, where even Jurgen Klopp had to applaud him for his amazing goal and assist in that match. The sky is the limit for Pulisic.
2. Pedro Neto for Wolves
What an addition Pedro Neto has been for Wolves. The Portuguese winger is already being linked to potential moves down the road to Liverpool, Man United, Man City and others. That's because he's phenomenal on the field whenever he had the ball in his possession.
Through the first 23 games of this year's EPL campaign, he has four goals and four assists. He's only 20 years old too. He just has a knack for putting the ball in the right place at the right time. Wolves fans love him and rightfully so.
1. Phil Foden for Manchester City
Last but not least, goodness me, the one and only Phil Foden. What a superstar he's becoming for Manchester City. Fans have been calling for him to get more playing time and Pep Guardiola has answered that call. Foden is also going to be a stud for England's national team.
As for City, he scored five goals and added two assists in 23 matches last season. Thus far this year, he has five goals and three assists in 17 appearances. Oh, did we mention he's only 20? With his amazing pace and shooting abilities, this kid is really going to be something. Keep your eyes on him moving forward.
