Previewing the start of the Premier League season with Top 4 picks

Football is back in our lives and everyone is overjoy with that fact. The English Premier League season will officially kick off with Arsenal taking on Crystal Palace in a battle of London squads. Then, the weekend will feature several tasty lineups.
For Arsenal, the club is hoping the summer additions, including the signing of forward Gabriel Jesus, will be enough to propel them into a Top 4 spot this campaign and earn them a trip back to the Champions League. Will that happen? In this piece, we offer up our predictions for the 2022-23 season.
Arsenal to edge out Tottenham in the Top 4 race
You figure the battle for the last Champions League spot will come down to Arsenal and Tottenham - no chance Manchester United is in the mix. This will only make the North London Derby that much more interesting. With that said, we're going to give the slight advantage to Arsenal in this case.
The Gunners took a step forward last season and the Jesus move really has the fanbase believing again. While Spurs features players like Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, they've just been too inconsistent elsewhere on the pitch. We'll rock with AFC to land that No. 4 spot.
Chelsea to finish third in the Premier League?
Despite working overtime during the summer transfer window, Chelsea still hasn't caught up to Manchester City and Liverpool. The Romelu Lukaku experiment has thankfully come to an end, with him returning to Inter Milan.
Chelsea was able to replace him with Raheem Sterling, a four-time EPL winner. While Chelsea certainly has the kind of roster to make serious noise this year, again, they're just not at LFC and MCFC's level. They'll finish in third for Thomas Tuchel.
A second-place finish for Manchester City
Call it a bold prediction, but Manchester City won't repeat as English Premier League champions. While everyone is talking about the addition of Erling Haaland as the long-term replacement of Sergio Aguero, it's going to take him some time to find his footing in the EPL.
This isn't an overnight transition for anyone. As great as Haaland is, fans need to be patient with him. Man City is in the conversation among the best clubs in the world and countless people think they'll be able to walk away with the league crown. Not so fast...
Liverpool is our pick to win the English Premier League
The folks at Anfield are going to be buzzing from start to finish this year, as Liverpool FC looks poised to make it a memorable season. LFC finished in second last year both in the EPL and Champions League. For the Premier League, we're calling it right now: they're going to be the champs.
This team only got stronger with the addition of Uruguayan sensation Darwin Nunez. He's come in to replace Sadio Mane and it feels like a step up. With Mo Salah signing his extension too, plus Luis Diaz entering his first full campaign, things are all gravy for Jurgen Klopp and his men. LFC to be the champs? You better believe it.
