On Sunday evening, Manchester turned out to be red for the day, as United took down City with a convincing 2-0 victory at Old Trafford. While the Man United fans celebrated, the talk around Man City was the play of Ederson.

Simply put, the Brazilian goalie struggled on Sunday. United's first goal by Anthony Martial looked like it could have been stopped, while an Ederson mistake led to Scott McTominay making things 2-0 in stoppage time.

Despite the rough performance, Pep Guardiola is standing by his guy and has a message for all the supporters who have sent negative comments Ederson's way.

"He is an extraordinary keeper," Guardiola said after the loss. "Next time he is going to be better. He is an extraordinary player in the build-up, the saves, sometimes it happens. He saved one or two."

There's simply no denying Ederson is a world-class keeper. Unfortunately for him, he had a rough day at the office in one of the biggest games of the season, helping Man United come away with its 2-0 victory.

With the result on Sunday, United beat City in both the league games this campaign, marking the first time they've done so in 10 years. The next time these two English Premier League giants square off, Ederson will look to bounce back and remind everyone what he's capable of.
