Man City's Pep Guardiola donates one million euros to fight coronavirus in Spain

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is among the classiest men you'll ever meet. Be it on the pitch or off of it, he's always highly regarded by his players and opponents.

Earlier this week, Guardiola showed how big his heart is, reportedly donating one million euros to help combat the COVID-19 pandemic. It doesn't get much better than this.

With Spain being one of the most heavily-hit countries around the world, Guardiola, a Spanish native, has donated the large sum to to the Medical College of Barcelona and the Angel Soler Daniel Foundation.

Per BBC.com, "the money will be used to help purchase medical equipment and protective material for the hospital staff involved in treating those admitted to hospital."

Barcelona has also received a hefty donation from soccer superstar Lionel Messi. One of the best players in the world, Messi has donated one million euros between a hospital in Barcelona and another hospital back in Argentina.

As of this writing, Spain is closing in on 3,500 coronavirus deaths. That heartbreaking number has surpassed China. With things continuing to get worse, and the country on a lockdown, Guardiola has stepped up to do all he can to help out.

While no cure or vaccine has been identified yet to take down COVID-19, donations like the one made by Pep will only help medical professionals get to the bottom of this and help out those in need.
