Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce survived
The Chiefs are a perfect 2-0 on the year following a thrilling win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Kansas City in Week 2. The Bengals had the lead for most of the game, but the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champs celebrated after the final whistle thanks to a walk-off field-goal from Harrison Butker. It was a day to remember for Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Justin Jefferson put on a show in the upset win over San Francisco
One of the biggest stunners from Week 2 was the Vikings taking down San Francisco. Justin Jefferson was brilliant in the Minnesota victory, posting four receptions for 133 yards and a touchdown.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens are shockingly 0-2 on the year
It's been a bit of a disappointing start to the campaign for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. After losing the season-opener to the Chiefs, Baltimore then suffered a Week 2 loss to Las Vegas. The Ravens are still one of the best teams in the AFC and they'll look to get on track in Week 3.
In a Thursday Night Football clash, the Bills took down the Dolphins 31-10 in South Florida. Josh Allen finished throwing for 139 yards and a touchdown, doing more than enough to help his team post a win. Buffalo is a perfect 2-0 on the year and they're looking like the top team in the division.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals suffered a heartbreaker vs. KCJoe Burrow looked sensational vs. the Chiefs, but it came in a losing effort. Cincinnati fell to Kansas City 26-25, with this game ending in controversial fashion. Despite the loss, Burrow looked fantastic, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns.
Brock Purdy and the 49ers were stunned by the VikingsIt was a stunning Sunday for Brock Purdy and the 49ers, as they fell to 1-1 on the year after losing on the road to the Vikings. Injuries have hurt this team early on this campaign. In the loss, Purdy tossed for 319 yards, plus a touchdown.
Christian McCaffrey has been placed on Injured Reserve
Before game day arrived for the 49ers, brutal news came in for the offense. That news, of course, was that All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey had been placed on Injured Reserve due to a calf issue. McCaffrey is going to be out for a little while, but we can't wait to see him back in action.
Jordan Love is out for a little while due to a knee injury
The Green Bay Packers were without Jordan Love (knee) against the Colts, but Green Bay was still able to post a victory. Love suffered a sprained MCL in the Week 1 loss to the Eagles, but the hope is he can return to action within the next 2-3 weeks.
Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in Week 2 and is now on IR
In the Thursday Night Football loss to the Bills, star Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa went down in the second half with a concussion, his third since 2022. Tagovailoa has since been placed on Injured Reserve and he'll be out for at least a month.
Jared Goff and the Lions lost to the Bucs
In another upset, Tampa Bay traveled to Detroit and took down the Lions. It was the Baker Mayfield show, though Jared Goff did throw for 307 yards - unfortunately, his two interceptions proved to be costly.
