The long wait is about to come to an end for Manchester City and its die-hard supporters. Earlier this season, it was announced the back-to-back Premier League champs would receive a two-year ban from European competition over the next two seasons.

This was their punishment after the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) found that City was found guilty of 'serious' breaches of the Financial Fair Play regulations. After the EPL powers filed an appeal, they'll now learn of their fate come Monday morning.

As things stand, City would not be able to participate in the Champions League tournament next season and the following year. This year, City is in the middle of an outstanding CL run, and has one foot in the quarterfinals after they stunned Real Madrid during the first leg battle in Spain.

Come Monday, however, the Citizens will find out if they'll be punished for what the CAS deemed inexcusable behavior. Fortunately for City fans, the large expectation is that the CAS's decision will be overturned. No suspension from the CL or fines? That would be outstanding for Pep Guardiola and his men.

While we won't find out for sure until Monday morning, things are looking good for City here. Stay tuned for the official word to come in.
