Phil Jones and his embarrassing highlights remains the gift that keeps on giving. And when you match him up against Manchester City standout Kevin De Bruyne, bad things are going to happen.
In a showdown on Tuesday between the two Manchester sides, we saw just that, as De Bruyne showed all the fans at Old Trafford why he's one of the best midfielders on the planet in City's 3-1 victory.
In the 38th minute of that game, De Bruyne made his way into the box and crossed the life out of Jones. He then fired off a powerful shot that was saved by David de Gea, but the ball ended up deflecting off a Manchester United player and into the back of the net.

That made things 3-0, but all the talk was around how badly De Bruyne served Jones. The Belgian star is in the middle of another tremendous campaign for Manchester City. In 20 English Premier League contests, he has seven goals and 12 assists.
He's No. 1 in the EPL in assists, four ahead of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and his eight. If you ever need a perfect cross, De Bruyne indeed is your man to get the job done.
At the same time, if you need him to embarrass the opposition with his nasty footwork, he'll answer that call too. Just ask Jones and Manchester United about that.
