Ladies and gentlemen, Chelsea star Tammy Abraham has officially arrived. The English striker has been in superb form for the Blues this season, scoring 11 goals in 15 English Premier League matches at the time of this writing.

Those 11 goals have him tied as the No. 2 scorer in the league with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the two chasing Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and his 16 strikes.
Abraham, who also scored his first goal for the senior English squad earlier this fall, isn’t just impressing fans in London. Nope, he’s also got the eye of Manchester United club legend Rio Ferdinand, who had nothing but glowing things to say about the 22-year-old.
“He’s somebody who’s hungry and has a desire to score,” Ferdinand told BT Sport. “It’s a very good finish, it’s clean and clinical. He makes it look easy, it’s not an easy finish.”
Ferdinand is no stranger to European success, winning the Champions League title with Manchester United in 2008. Unfortunately for Blues’ fans, that victory in Russia came against Chelsea in penalty kicks.
However, don’t let that night in Moscow take away from what Ferdinand made clear to the club’s supporters: Abraham is the real deal.
"What I love about Tammy is his first instinct, his first thought is get me in there, get me in there to hurt the opposition, get me in there to score goals,” Ferdinand said.
In Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Lille on Tuesday, which punched their ticket to the Round of 16 in the Champions League, Abraham opened the scoring for the Blues. Now, he’ll look to keep his top level going, as he’s been virtually unstoppable whenever he’s been on the pitch for Frank Lampard and Co.
