In what was easily the English Premier League’s Game of the Week, Manchester City proved once again why they’re still among Europe’s best.

Down early to fellow Top 6 squad Leicester City, Man City fought back and earned a superb 3-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium. Fans were certainly worried in the first half, though, as Jamie Vardy put the visiting side ahead in the 22nd minute with a truly spectacular finish.
Manchester City was down, but obviously not ready to lay down. With its superstar lineup, this club is never out of a match until the final whistle sounds. In the 30th minute, Riyad Mahrez got things going for the home team, seeing his deflected shot hit the back of the net to make things 1-1.
Right before halftime, City was awarded a much-deserved penalty kick, which İlkay Gundogan took full advantage of. His PK delivery gave City its 2-1 lead going into the break.
In the second half, City dominated possession and closed things out at 3-1 in the 69th minute with a goal from Gabriel Jesus. Kevin De Bruyne deserves plenty of love for this one, though.
The Belgian midfielder drove through the Leicester City defense and whipped in an incredible cross for Jesus to send home with ease. It was just another day at the office for De Bruyne, who’s in the middle of an incredible campaign.
With the victory, Manchester City remains in third place with 38 points, just one point second-place Leicester City with its 39.
