As we get ready for the English Premier League to once again take over our lives this weekend, there's no question that Manchester City vs. Chelsea on Saturday at the Etihad is the best game on the schedule.
As things stand, City, the defending champions, have a double-digit lead in the English Premier League table over Chelsea and Liverpool. With a win, they could essentially put one hand on the trophy. Will the Blues be able to prevent that from happening?

Manchester City vs. Chelsea is huge for the 2022 title race
If you take a look at the EPL table, City indeed is No. 1 in the standings with its 53 points. Meanwhile for Chelsea, they're checking in at No. 2 with 43 points. Liverpool is in third with 42 points, but they do have a game in hand.
Come Saturday, a win in front of its home fans would be massive for Man City. If they go 13 points clear of Chelsea, it really could already put a close to the title race. Yes, it's a long season and things don't end until May, but let's be realistic here.
Manchester City is in the middle of an unreal season and they've made easy work of opponents. In order for this race to be interesting, City will need to drop points against members of the 'Big Six.' This means Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal need to step up and give it to MCFC.
Chelsea has a chance to do just that in the coming days. Even if the two teams were to draw, it'd help out. If the Blues could somehow pull off an upset, all the City haters out there would surely be ready to celebrate.
The pressure is on for Chelsea, but the good news is that Romelu Lukaku and the team have fixed their issues and the Belgium superstar got on the scoresheet on Saturday in the FA Cup victory. Now, we'll see if Big Rom can find the back of the net again vs. Manchester City.
