Hugo Lloris signs contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham fans all over the planet have nothing but love and respect for goalie Hugo Lloris. The skipper is without question one of the best keepers in the world, as he makes huge saves for Spurs time and time again.

Well, the club has decided to reward Lloris for all of his strong work between the posts, signing him to a new contract through the 2023-2024 campaign. This is of course huge news for Spurs, as they've kept such a key part of the team in the fold for the long haul.

“I feel really happy, obviously for me, but also for my family, to extend my stay in London and at Spurs for the next two years,” Lloris said via the Tottenham official website. “I feel it’s a privilege to play football and to play for such a big club like Spurs. Also, the relationship with the fans is important for me.

"In the last few months, I’ve felt their support even more than before. So, the decision was really easy to take for me."

At the time of his new deal, Lloris had made 395 total appearances for Tottenham, which is wild to think about. In the near future, he'll reach game No. 400, which will make him only the 12th player ever to reach that milestone.

Ever since joining Spurs back in 2012, Lloris has been an absolute beast for the team. He's also a standout for the French national team as well. Lloris just turned 35 years old last month and he's still playing at a tremendous level. We can't wait to see him playing so well for Spurs for years to come.
