When the 2021 English Premier League season gets underway, Chelsea fans have so much to look forward to. Among the reasons: Hakim Ziyech.

While it feels like so long ago the Blues agreed to personal terms and signed the Moroccan midfielder from Ajax, he'll be making his way to London this summer to kickoff his EPL career. And heading into that move, some of his former coaches are singing his praises. English football too much to handle for him? Not a chance.

Among those in Ziyech's corner include Baudouin Pahlplatz, one of his former assistant coaches at Twente in the Netherlands. Chelsea fans will surely be fired up about his thoughts on the attacking MF.

"He has played in the Eredivisie for seven or eight years now and knows all about Holland," Pahlplatz told Sky Sports in a recent interview. "The step to the Premier League will do him good. He will be playing with the best players every day and that is a new challenge for him. I think he will do well there.

"He will have to get used to the amount of games and the physical side but in the end he will succeed, for sure."

Before play in Holland was stopped this season, Ziyech had appeared in 34 games for Ajax, scoring nine goals and recording 18 assists. Expectations will be high for him next year with Chelsea, but it's looking like he'll be up to the challenge.
