The busy summer of signings has continued for Chelsea after the club finished in fourth place of the English Premier League Standings in 2019-20.
This time, the club has continued to bolster its depth on defense, with the Blues confirming on Wednesday that left back Ben Chilwell will be headed to London after previously suiting up for Leicester City.
According to multiple reports, Frank Lampard and Chelsea have brought in the 23-year-old defender for £50 million.
Absolutely buzzing to sign for @ChelseaFC. Really exciting time for the club, with such a good squad! Can’t wait to meet all of the lads and everyone around the building. Special thank you to the manager for the faith he has shown in me. A dream come true. Come on you blues 💙 pic.twitter.com/xpfIklsgzn

"I am delighted to be joining Chelsea at this very exciting time for the club," Chilwell said in a club statement. "I'm looking forward to being a part of this young, dynamic squad led by Frank Lampard as we challenge for honours next season.
"I can't wait to get started and hopefully it won't be long before we're playing in front of the Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge."
Chilwell arrives to London after making 99 appearances with Leicester City. Last season, he played in 27 league games, scoring three goals. Since 2018, he's also made 11 appearances on the England senior squad.
For Chelsea, they've been quite busy in recent months, as Chilwell joins new additions Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.
The club is also expected to make even more moves in the near future. With the new English Premier League season set to start on Sept. 12, we could see a totally different starting 11 for the Blues to kickstart the year.
