Reece James' red card was a stunner for Chelsea

Chelsea and Liverpool ends in draw after controversial Reece James call

What a game we had on Saturday between Liverpool and Chelsea FC. Things ended in a 1-1 draw, but the talk across the soccer world is the questionable decision by Anthony Taylor in the first half on Reece James.

With LFC about to score, James cleared the line at the last second. However, it looked like the ball hit his hand after it bounced off his leg. Liverpool players were desperate for a penalty to be called. After a VAR review, a penalty was given and James was sent off with a red card. Do fans agree?

This really was close. James pled his case with Taylor, but he had no luck. If you look at the video above, the ball does his his leg first, but he opened his arm a little bit. This is probably why Taylor went with his decision.

At the same time, though, it doesn't look like James intended to block the shot this way. It was just an unlucky bounce. Taylor made up his mind, however, and Chelsea were down to 10 men for the second half.

Fortunately for Thomas Tuchel and the Blues, Liverpool wasn't able to find the back of the net in the final 45 minutes of action and the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

Kai Havertz opened the scoring early on with a sensational header. Then, Salah scored on the penalty kick to close the scoring at 1-1. This game was as good as advertised, with both teams really looking sharp. Unfortunately, Taylor is making plenty of headlines for the call. We can't wait to see these two teams face off again.
