Chelsea announces Graham Potter as new manager to replace Thomas Tuchel

Well, that didn't take long. To start the season, things simply haven't gone according to plan for Chelsea FC. Following the disappointing Champions League loss earlier in the week, the team decided to part ways with Thomas Tuchel.

This was tough to see, as Tuchel helped CFC capture the Champions League glory not too long ago. Well, a day after firing Thomas Tuchel, the Chelsea board wasted no time in finding his replacement: Brighton's Graham Potter.

From our chair, this is a home-run move by the Blues. Potter has done unreal things with Brighton FC, really helping the team become quite a squad in the English Premier League.

Brighton started the season with a massive 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. No one expected Brighton to record that result, but they stunned Man United and its fans.

Potter has also done a fantastic job at helping develop young talent. Take a look at what he's done with Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo. At this time last year, not many people had even heard of his name.

Now, Caicedo is considered one of the brightest young talents in the league and people can't wait to see where he ends up next. The expectation is that Caicedo will be sold next summer for a massive fee. Potter has played a huge role in helping the young MF get better.

With Chelsea, this team is loaded with a ton of talent, but they just haven't been able to put things together this season. With Potter making the move from Brighton to London, though, there's high expectations for him to help the club to turn things around. We fully believe in Potter to get that job done.
