The skipper, Cesar Azpilicueta is loved by Chelsea fans and that's never going to change. With that said, is there a chance we could potentially see Dave suiting up for a new team next season?
A veteran defender, Azpilicueta is out of contract at the end of the season and he's already been linked to multiple teams, including Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. Having said that, Azpilicueta and Chelsea have opened up talks once again and he's hopeful that something can get done.

From that Dave quote via Fabrizio Romano, it's clear that Azpilicueta isn't overly concerned about how things are going to shape out. While he'd love to get things settled and not have to worry about his future, it's not going to impact his focus on helping Chelsea win more titles this spring.
Last year, the Blues stunned the world when took down some steep competition, including Manchester City in the Final, to capture the Champions League glory. Now, Dave wants to help Chelsea repeat, while also having a say in how the English Premier League season goes down.
For Chelsea, there's most definitely plenty of excitement surrounding the team right now with Thomas Tuchel as manager. Despite the Romelu Lukaku drama, things have been settled there and the team morale is once against high for CFC.
Azpilicueta plays a major role in that, as he's not only the team captain, but also a standout on the pitch for the club as well. We'll find out soon enough if a contract extension will be agreed two between both parties.
