If you're good enough to call yourself a club captain for an English Premier League squad, you know you're doing something right. Now imagine the honor of being the skipper for Chelsea?

That's exactly what Cesar Azpilicueta was able to do this morning when he woke up. Oh and by the way, it's also the Spanish standout's special day, as he's celebrating his 31st birthday.

Ever since he arrived to Stamford Bridge, Azpilicueta has meant so much to this team. That will only continue in 2020-21, with the Blues looking to win some titles with him once again as captain.

Since arriving to London back in 2012, the defender has appeared in 271 games and rocked a Chelsea soccer jersey with pride for every single match.

He's scored eight goals in his Chelsea career, and is known for doing a tremendous job of opposing offenses finding the back of the net.

With Thiago Silva arriving to Chelsea as the club's latest signing, both he and Azpilicueta will provide excellent experience for the Blues, a team who is coming off a fourth-place finish in the English Premier League table for last season.

Chelsea will be back in the Champions League this year, with the hopes of going on a deep run. It goes without saying, but it will be on Azpilicueta to be the captain we've been used to seeing in passionately leading this young group into battle for every big showdown.
