Arsenal fans rejoice! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signing new deal with the Gunners

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Arsenal

This is the news we've been waiting for! Throughout this past English Premier League campaign, word around London was that French forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wasn't happy with Arsenal and was looking to sign elsewhere.

Things have changed in recent months, with Aubameyang developing a strong bond with his teammates and first-year manager Miguel Arteta. The club even won its record 14th FA Cup after stunning Man City in the semifinals and following that up by taking down Chelsea in the final.

With the morale high around the Emirates Stadium, things are only getting better with reports stating 'Auba' will be signing a new deal with the club through at least the 2023 season.

BOOM!

Per ESPN's James Olley, Aubameyang is set to ink a new contract that will earn him £250,000 a week. It'll be quite the raise for the goal-scorer, but one that he certainly deserves.

With the Gunners in the middle of a rebuild, he's a bright young star for Arsenal. This past year in EPL play, he scored 22 goals alone in 36 matches. Those are the kinds of numbers you'd expect from someone who has so much talent like Auba.

While he had been linked with a potential move to Real Madrid, that won't be happening. Aubameyang is here to stay with Arsenal and will look to be a nightmare for opposing defenses to deal with for years to come.
