It felt like it was only a matter of time before things became official over in London, and now Brazilian midfielder Willian has himself a new club.

After starring for Chelsea since 2013, Willian will be staying in the same city, but will don a new jersey. That's because, as expected, Arsenal has signed the 32-year-old standout to a three-year deal.

The team broke the news on its official Twitter account, with Gunners fans everywhere elated with the news.

Earlier this summer, reports stated Willian and Chelsea were on the verge of agreeing to a new contract. However, he had made it clear from the start that he was hoping to ink a three-year deal. Chelsea had made him an offer for two years.

With the two sides not able to finalize things, Arsenal swooped in and made a three-year offer. This helped send things over the top, resulting in the Gunners poaching a beloved Chelsea player.

In his time with Chelsea, Willian appeared in 234 games and scored 37 goals. Starting this upcoming season, he'll look to provide the same kind of magic on the pitch for Arsenal.

It may be a little difficult at first to see him in a Gunners jersey, but big things are expected from Willian from the moment his career begins at the Emirates Stadium.
