However, the Packers look like they're ready to move forward and give the keys to the offense to former first-round pick Jordan Love. With that, Rodgers himself is ready to move on, as he has announced that he's planning to play for the New York Jets next season.

For now, Rodgers remains a member of the Packers, but the Jets and Green Bay are looking to finalize a trade sooner than later. Barring something unforseen happening, Rodgers will head to East Rutherford and make plays for Gang Green starting next fall.
This would be a major, major get for the Jets, as they haven't had this kind of a star QB in town since the days of Joe Namath. New York is coming off another rough season in 2022, as they posted a 7-10 record and finished in last place of the AFC East standings.
Former No. 2 overall pick Zach Wilson has been a big-time bust for the Jets, as the young QB doesn't have a bright future with the organization. The same can't be said for Rodgers, who is one of the best signal-callers in the game. He may be climbing in age a bit, but he can still sling the ball around.
It's going to be quite weird seeing him in a different jersey next season, but all signs are pointing to Rodgers balling out for the Jets. It's going to be a sad day for Packers fans when the trade with the NYJ is announced, but it could come at any moment.
